Urdu has got great importance in the history of Pakistan nation as it is the national language of Pakistan. Urdu is considered as the official language of Pakistan and has become famous all over the world. All the people within the country of Pakistan can understand the language Urdu and it is considered as the best medium of communication for all the people within the country. 

Since the 11th century Urdu has become the national language of Pakistan. At that period the whole population in that region was compelled by the rulers to learn how to read and write Urdu. Basically Urdu is an Indo – Aryan language and has got its existence from three different languages which are Persian, Turkish and Arabic. Urdu poetry has got an important place in the culture and tradition of the Pakistan nation. 

Urdu poetry has written in various forms and each one will be entirely different with the other. Some of the important forms of Urdu poetry are Marsiiya, Masnavii, Munaajaat, Naat, Nazm etc. Nazm is an important form of Urdu poetry and basically all Urdu poetries are known by the term Nazm. Urdu poets had made an attempt to show their own writing style in each of their poetries. Nazm is a type of poetry in which the poets will write in rhymed verse to convey their messages.
